Under the leadership of Mr. Vallabh Khedekar as a chief promoter of the society 12 members Subscribed Rs.1200/- as share capital and Ent.fee of Rs.60/-. for registration of Goa Milk Union Employees Cooperative Credit Society Ltd Curti Ponda Goa.

In the initial stage the term of the Managing Committee was two years from the year 2004. The term of the Managing Committee has been enhanced from two (2) years to five (5) years with consisting strength of 09 members in the Managing Committee of the Society, as per Amendment of Bye Laws No. 39 and order from Registrar of Co-op. Societies, Govt. of Goa Panaji order No. ARCS/CZ/Credit/46/88 dated 03.12.2004. As per the Goa Co-operative Societies Act 2001 & Rules 2003 the strength of Board of Directors shall be 11 members of which Two seats will be reserved for women and one seat for the members from SC or ST elected in accordance with provisions of Act Rules and bye-laws of the society to give more opportunity to the members to represent on the Board.
Member
Any person appointed on Goa State Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd in the state of Goa, on Regular basis, except person appointed on daily wages, casual labour, etc and Working at its any centers & units situated within the area of operations as specified under by-law No.4 (14) can avail membership of the society in a prescribed form by subscribing Entrance fee of Rs.10/- and at least one fully paid up share of Rs.100/-. Further he /she shall contribute to the society a minimum monthly cumulative deposit of Rs.1500/- till he continues to be a member of the society however, the General Body may increase and fixed the limit of monthly Cumulative deposit from time to time.
Documents Required for Membership:
- He/she submits a written application in such a form as prescribed by the society.
- He/she pays entrance fee of Rs.10/-. Which is non refundable.
- He/she purchases at least one share of Rs.100/-of the society on application.
- He/she gives in writing an irrevocable authority to drawing and disbursing officer of the department/establishment to recover by deduction from his/her salary, dues payable by him to the society.
